Mr Shekhar Suman is an Indian actor, writer, producer, director, singer and presenter, whose career spans over four decades. Trained in acting from the prestigious Shriram Centre for Art and Culture New Delhi, where he worked as a professional stage actor in its repertory company and subsequently emerged as a distinctive voice in the Indian Entertainment Industry through his work across Cinema, Television, Stage and OTT.
Widely recognised for his sharp wit, literary sensibility, and cultural engagement, most notably as the creator and host of Movers & Shakers, the first late night talk show of India, his journey has been shaped by continuous reinvention and a deep commitment to the craft of performance and storytelling.
Spanning over a four-decade long career, Mr Shekhar Suman has worked extensively across all genres as an actor, be it films, television series, OTT and theatre, while also writing and directing for stage and screen. His journey reflects a deep engagement with performance, language, and storytelling, shaped by continuous learning, reinvention, and long-term commitment to the craft. Today, he is recognised not only for his body of work, but for his understanding of the evolving entertainment industry and his contribution to shaping conversations around performance, media, and culture in India.
